OVERVIEW

The Abu Garcia Max SX 4000 Spinning Reel combines a compact, lightweight design with smooth performance and versatile line capacity for freshwater and inshore fishing.

Inspired by Abu Garcia’s Revo® and Zenon™ spinning reel platforms, the Max SX uses an A-Symmetric graphite frame and rotor along with V-Rotor and V-Spool designs to create a more compact spinning reel. At 9.1 ounces, the 4000 size offers useful capacity without unnecessary bulk.

A 6+1 steel bearing system provides smooth operation, while the 5.2:1 gear ratio retrieves 31 inches of line per turn. The reel delivers up to 14 pounds of maximum drag for handling a range of freshwater and light inshore species.

Rocket Line Management™ and Rocket Spool Lip Design™ help control line during casting and retrieval. A machined aluminum braid-ready spool, aluminum handle and soft-touch handle knob complete the versatile 4000-size platform.
